Wie sich an Bartholomäius das Wetter verhält, so ist der es auch im Herbst bestellt.

Gewitter an Bartolomä bringen Hagel oder Schnee.

Die Nächte kühl, die Tage schwül, so wird's des Erntesegens viel. 

Weht im August der Wind aus Nord, ziehen die Schwalben  noch lange nicht fort.

Nasser August bringt teure Kost

Wie der August war, wird der künftig Februar.
